31 weeks

On Sloane's 31 week birthday, two weeks ago, she took her first music class. It may have been fitting that when she sat for her 31 week photo that same day, she just wanted to gnaw on her favorite toy: a late 1960s "transistor radio" that plays "I'd like to teach the world to sing." The girl is cuckoo for this toy, which was originally my older brother's. She smiles, bounces and jumps with excitement when it plays and cries when the music stops. You've gotta hand it to Fisher Price: nearly 50 years later and the old toy is still humming along.
"If only I could turn this knob myself, I'd never need mommy again!"

Sloane absolutely loves music class. Her cheeks puff with wide grins throughout the class, especially during the scarf parachute game. I love the class, too, partly because -- now that I'm back at work -- its one of the few times I get to focus completely on Sloane's development. Also, it's a private class we arranged with six friends from my mom's group, so its a lovely chance to hang out with mamas I adore and check out their cute bambinos.

Sloane's 31st week began with Easter so I'll wrap up with two more Easter pictures. The first is Sloane in her Easter dress (can you see the little bunny on her dress? There's a tiny one on her left sleeve, too).

And here's a final shot of the boys that really captures Riley's job from the egg hunt. What a great week!
