Snowy Day

Riley rang in the New Year toddler style with his Sacramento crew. The kids got to stay up well past 9 p.m. to watch the ball drop in New York, which felt scandalously late for this scheduled little guy.

After the late night of partying, Riley and his friend, Thomasina, needed shades the next morning.

Thomasina couldn't wait to show Riley her neighborhood park, where an unexpected treat awaited them.

SNOW!! Someone had driven back from the mountains with snow in their truck and dumped it at the park for kids to play with. Some older kids were on hand to teach the little ones how to roll snowballs and other cool tricks. What a way to start the new year!















It just so happened that at the very same time, Riley's dad was skiing in Tahoe. I love how it looks like Riley and Thomasina are practicing for their first trip to the slopes, with Riley clearly on a snowboard and T on skis.

Bunny slope, here we come!
