Grass
While our friends back east are shoveling snow, we are experiencing gloriously warm and sunny days here in SF. It's funny how much warmer January can be as compared to July in this crazy town.
Fortunately the sun has arrived just as Riley is becoming a champion sitter, the perfect confluence for introducing him to our new "grass."
"What is this stuff?" Riley seemed to ask. Well, we don't know kid, but it looks cool and it feels great and you're going to have loads of fun playing in it.
That seemed to be an adequate response. He loved the grass and frankly everything about the backyard. He especially loved the sounds of the birds in the trees above and kept looking at me with wildly excited eyes as if to urge, "Mom, we've got to find them!"
