The final pics from Japan

With mercy, we have pared down our hundreds of Japan photos to just a few more we'd like to share here. 

All over Kyoto and to some extent Tokyo, we stumbled across absolutely stunning and relaxing gardens. This was a favorite: 

We also frequently came across cultural celebrations like this one, which I think was just the equivalent of a hometown parade:

Riley loved the bamboo forest in Kyoto. He was entralled by the 50 foot trees, softly whispering in the wind with light shining among them:

The boy also enjoyed soaring over Yokohama, Michael Jackson style:

Because Riley went to bed at 7:30 each night, we couldn't leave our hotel much in the evenings. So we made our own fun such as the night we found these traditional Japanese robes in our hotel room. This photo of Andy practicing his samurai moves was posted over his clearly stated objections (ha ha ha!):
