14 months

Today is Sloane's 15 month birthday, which made me realize I never posted about month 14. D'oh! So here's a blast from the past.

If month 13 was trying, month 14 was worth high-fiving. Since mid-October Sloane has been on a trajectory of awesomeness getting happier and more fun every day. Perhaps she just settled down after her initial teeth popped through her gums and she started to walk? Whatever the cause, she's been delighting us daily...like when she builds with her toolkit.

She continues to rotate new words into her vocabulary, including in month 14: happy, look-it, uppy, and here-ya-go. This girl is constantly chatting.

In early November, we headed to Little Farm in Berkeley, where big brother, Riley, showed her how to feed the animals.

 

Later in the month we swapped houses with a friend who lives in St. Helena, right in the heart of Napa Valley. We brought along our best buddies, Elli, Geoff and Zev and -- per Riley's request -- our trusty Monopoly board. And don't forget the chess board!

We even got a babysitter (our beloved Debbie from our maternity leave trip to Healdsburg) so the parents could hit the wineries. It was a great month!
