Teenage Mutant Ninja Riley
Our 16-month old has turned into a moody teenager.
He loves his friends. If it were up to him, he'd spend the entire day at the playground or at daycare.
He likes flipping though iPhone pictures of himself and watching videos of himself doing silly things.
When we near his bedroom, he thinks its hysterical to slam the door in our faces.
One moment he's smiling and then the next, he throws himself on the floor and wails dramatically, as if to assert "you just don't understand me!"
This week he won't eat or drink anything we give him -- probably because it's all so lame! But of course he gobbles down everything he's served at day care.
This one really got me -- two days ago he ran away when I showed up at daycare. I must have been embarrassing him in front of his friends!
Kiddo, if I didn't think your ear infection were causing this unfortunate preview of your adolescence, I'd be pretty devastated this week. Fingers crossed, my little teenager will resume toddlerhood ASAP.

Aw poor Mama! Fiona isn't a teenager yet but she does get alot more upset when her nanny/grandparents leave at the end of the day than when we leave. I try to be grateful that we must have good help but sometimes it does get me a little glum :)
