Two out of three

Riley played with three of his toddler girlfriends today and, quite unfortunately, he hit two of them. It seemed like he and Neala were playing so nicely in the sandbox.

And then "whack" he swatted at her bucket and arms several times with his play rake.

Later he was spinning with his good friend Sophia who was rocking her bee costume.

I don't know if Riley was amused by the costume or just feeling slappy because he repeatedly smacked at Sophia's sweet little antennae. Terrible! No honey for you, Riley!

Fortunately, Riley kept his hands off his friend Lucia, both at the playground and back at her place later. Maybe he knew Lucia wouldn't be having any of that. Smart boy.

Any parents have any tips on how to stop the hitting? It's never aggressive. It always seems to be a sign of interest and, sometimes, happiness. But it's gotta stop. Two out of three toddlers agree.
