Thank goodness for Grandma
Lucky Riley just got to spend four days with his Grandma, and he could not have been more pleased.
Riley was all smiles for Grandma. He could not get enough of her funny dances and silly songs.
Now that we're coming out of the sickness haze, I can see that Riley not only learned new things with Grandma (like how to eat Cheerios, see below), but he also started to physically evolve. His crawling skills went from a few feet to a few rooms. And his face has started to mature. He's looking more and more like a toddler every day.
We miss Grandma terribly now that's she's gone. Our hearts are full as we await her next visit.
My mom showed up just as Andy and I were descending into the bowels of twin illnesses: pink eye and sinusitis. We were a mess. But Riley never would have known it because he had Grandma.
While we blew our noses, Riley showed Grandma his pacifier skills. While we rubbed our stinging eyes, mom taught Riley how to color coordinate with blocks. [Below is a lovely combo she suggested for our deck furniture. :) ] She even showed Riley how to paint, decorating the fireplace cover Andy crafted from wood.

Great picture. Let's definitely get the balloon boys together soon!
