Twins!

Riley is having the time of his life playing with his big cousin Rene. 

The boys are incredibly sweet to each other (far outshining any kindness their moms may have shown one another as kids). Rene loves seeing Riley smile, frequently exclaiming, "It's Smiley Riley!" He is tender and generous, trying to entertain Riley however he can. Today he brought Riley all the toys he could find and showed him how to play with them. He's also been trying to help care for Riley, which frequently means tending to our pacifier junkie when he's lost his favorite object.

 Rene really couldn't be sweeter toward Riley. And boy does Riley adore his big cousin. His face alights whenever he hears Rene's voice. If Rene enters his line of sight, all other activities cease. Riley focuses entirely on observing his favorite friend. 

It was my dream that these two boys would be close cousins, as close as brothers or at least as close as brothers who live 400 miles apart could be. Seeing them delight in each other's company fills my heart with joy.

By the way, in addition to being PJ twins, they also both happen to have sweaters from Ecuador. These two are too cute!
