Week two photos

After two weeks as a mom, I've learned to gauge the success of my days with two measures: by Noon have I gotten 8 hours sleep since 10 p.m. the night before? By 5, have I showered? Everyone has got to have goals, even if they are somewhat more modest than those of yesteryear.

Thanks to the help of Andy, then my mom and now Andy's mom, both goals are usually met (just barely!). Today, not so much. In fact, by noon Riley was having a rough day too, having just peed in his own eye. *Sigh*

Seriously, thank goodness for Andy and his mom. At 5:30 tonight, I announced that I was checking out for awhile. I got in a good shower and managed to arrange Riley's photos from week two. Here are the highlights, with some narrative captions: http://picasaweb.google.com/chazelton/RileyWeek2#.

And here is a teaser taken early today. I hope you can tell from this picture that even though I'm tired, I love this little boy more than I ever knew I would. There's no question it's all worth it.
