26 weeks

Sloane turned six months old on March 20th and 26 weeks the following day. After half a year on this earth, I can report the following about Ms. Boney Sloaney.































The cuteness factor is pretty high. She frequently gets stopped by strangers who like the cut of her jib. During her 26th week, a couple of ladies passed Sloane on the street then returned a few minutes later with a flower they'd bought for her.

She isn't the worst sleeper, but let's just say no one in our house is well rested right now (except maybe Riley).




















During the day, she remains very sweet, happy and mellow. As soon as she's tired, though, a switch flips and she's a fusspot until we put her down.





















She loves sweet potatoes and mama's milk. She shuts her mouth and squirms away from most other food.

She brightens when she sees people she knows or when strangers make funny faces at her. She's quite socially engaged.

She shows her happiness by bouncing and jumping. For example, if she's sitting on my knee and her Grandma or GiGi walks in the room, she'll start bouncing up and down as if she's horseback riding over a bumpy road.

She likes textured books with things she can touch (like "Pat the Bunny"). She's also a fan of any book she can eat.

She's not too big, not too small. In so many ways, she's just right.
