Future librarian
Riley loves the book Peek-a-who? (below) and dozens of other page turners like I love you through and through, Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Hand, Hand, Fingers Thumb. He is a sucker for anything by Sandra Boynton or that has a touch and feel element. And don't get me started on The Hungry Little Caterpiller; not sure Riley could get through the day without tracing the caterpillar's dietary adventures, poking his finger into every hole the furry creature leaves behind.
Some days Riley reads 10 books, other days its 25 or 30. He likes to turn the pages, especially when they feature cut-outs like this one. Lately he's been demanding specific books, but fortunately he let's me get away with reading each book only once. How I feel for the parents who have to read the same book ten times!
I'm just glad he was born while books were still in vogue. There's no way a Kindle could beat a board book.
As for Riley's future as a librarian? Probably unlikely considering he likes to pull the books off the shelves (and does so gleefully nearly every day).

Hand Hand Fingers Thumb is one of Alex's favorite. It has a great beat and it's so cute when they start moving their thumbs and grooving to the beat.
ReplyDeleteI'll admit, it's my new favorite book too. Today we sang the words while drumming on top of the toilet lid. A little weird, but Riley loved it.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to only have to read them 10 times . . .
