Nesting?

One of the frequently cited signs of impending labor is the nesting instinct. This is where the pregnant woman feels a sudden, pressing urge to prepare the home for the child and bops around the house in a flurry of activity.

Tonight Andy and I finished watching a movie around 11 p.m. One minute I thought I was ready to go to bed; the next I was obsessed with the idea of cleaning up the house. It is now nearly 1 a.m. and, while I am very tired and Andy has long since gone to bed, I cannot rest until I finish a string of items on my to-do list. Is this nesting or just a temporary return to the Catherine who was always hyper-productive at night? We shall see...

By the way, while I still think I will have the baby in early July, I should note that the majority of my friends have predicted June 27. It's really quite odd that so many people have selected what otherwise might appear a random date. My friend Johan's birthday is on June 27 so he has a good reason. I'm not sure why so many others have picked it. Well, if I am nesting, maybe they will be proven right!

But I'm still thinking early July.
