Pez museum
This might be an odd way to come back, but here we are...talking about Pez.
Today, I took my big kid to the one and only Pez Museum. They have at least one of every Pez dispenser that's ever been issued. Riley toured the museum and then, clutching his wallet, was utterly delighted to approach the register to purchase his favorite dispensers. For the record, he bought one topped with a Giants themed baseball, another with a Minion, and one more with a Star Wars Storm Trooper. He also bought a refill pack of Pez candies. The best $8 he ever spent! I stood back and let him handle the entire transaction on his own. He was so earnest about conducting the transaction like an adult. It stole my heart.
The museum also features toys that have been banned for various reasons. This was actually Riley's favorite part. Some of his favorites included the atomic energy kit with vials of radioactive chemicals, the Tele-tubby that said "bite my butt" and the cabbage patch kid that literally chewed off children's fingers.

Wonderful pic of Rilz in the PEZ selections.
ReplyDeleteHey, I think Andy played with that atomic energy kit....just kidding, he only had toxic chemicals in his set.
