31 weeks and baby looks great

Today I got to see little baby girl on the ultrasound, and she looks awesome! We had been worried because I rarely feel her move. Today we confirmed that my placenta is covering the front of my belly like a big cushion and her legs and arms are right under my placenta, so when she kicks and jabs, I'm spared from feeling much of anything. She could flip her body around (Riley did that a lot), in which case I'd feel her movements more, or she might just be a little mellow miss, content to hang out where she is, right under the placenta.

We also learned that she's head down (good for delivery), right in the middle of the range for amniotic fluid (right where we want her) and her heart is beating great. We watched her breathe, which is somewhat unusual at this stage (31 weeks). This is actually terrific news, as it indicates her lungs are developing well, giving her greater likelihood of newborn health, even if she were to come early.

All good news!
