Lollipops
Riley saw Santa a total of four times this year and four times he asked Santa to bring him lollipops. Santa took the hint and, on Christmas morning, Riley woke up to this:
Santa and his elves had strung 132 dum dum lollipops on ribbons and hung them throughout the living room and dining room.
The magic of Christmas captured Riley the minute he walked out of his room and witnessed the lollipop wonderland. Understanding that they were all for him, and somehow intuiting that this was a one-day only opportunity, Riley got right to work plucking pops off the ribbons. He even shared.
At any given moment during the day, Riley could be found with one of his trusty lollipops.We estimate he sucked on 40 pops, although he'd often take just a few licks, then toss the pop and unwrap a new flavor. He was drunk with power!
By dinner time, he had mastered the art of sucking on three lollipops at once.
The miracle of Christmas came the next day when Riley didn't seem to care that all the lollipops had vanished. At least for now, Riley accepts that Santa works in mysterious ways.
