Thanksgiving
Riley shares my enthusiasm for Thanksgiving. Awesome food, family and Southern California sun: what's not to like?
We always count our blessing that my cousins Steve and Tracy host each year at their lovely Orange County home. While it's usually at least 70 degrees, this year it was so warm we ate outside. Riley's silly cousin, Jack, approved of the outdoor festivities.
After Thanksgiving dinner, the menfolk arranged a bocce ball game.
Rilz tried to get in on the action, but was quickly escorted over to the Steve Jobs babysitting table.
Chalk this one up to another perfect turkey day.
And, not to brag, but over the next few days it got even warmer! To beat the 85 degree heat over Thanksgiving weekend, Riley and his cousin Rene spent a lot of time in the kiddie pool. Rene's dad also designed a funny water game.
Water play at 3:30 p.m. in the last week of November. Living the dream in So Cal.
