Hard to capture

Hello world. Greetings after the longest hiatus in the history of this blog. There are likely two main culprits behind my lack of posting lately:

1) At 20 months of age, Riley has become super interactive and fun. As a result, Andy and I both engage fully with him as often as possible -- making lots of visits to the playgrounds, zoo, science academy and play dates -- and there's less time to work on the blog. Bad for you, my three readers, but so good for our family.

2) The boy has become a whirling dervish; in other words, he's nearly impossible to capture on camera lately. He's lightning quick, and thus a blur in most pictures. He's also keenly aware of how awesome our phones are and when we whip them out to snap a picture or quick video, he chases us, begging to watch an "ee-ee-do!"

Here he was today, laughing with Andy at one of their favorite videos:

A moment later, he noticed my phone was out (snapping this photo) and proceeded to tackle me.

So forgive us, dear readers. We'll post as often as we can. In the meantime, we'll keep chasing Mr. Riley. There's little he likes better right now than the taunt, "I'm gonna get you!"
